Grand Canyon University strives to make transfer students feel right at home! If you are thinking about transferring to GCU, you might be interested in visiting the campus to see what Lope life all about. Upon your visit, you will have the opportunity to live like a GCU student by partaking in various activities and meeting with a transfer specialist to make sure you are ready to begin your educational journey.
The Transfer Process
When you transfer to Grand Canyon University, you become part of a family. As a community-oriented school, our goal is for you to feel comfortable and happy in GCU’s environment. Staff and faculty members strive to make you feel welcome, as though you have been here as long as other students!
Just as it’s important for you to be happy with the social aspect of GCU, your academic success is also a top priority. Before starting your classes, you will sit down with a transfer specialist, who will make sure that you are on track to graduate when you desire to, ensure your credits transfer properly and place you in the courses that best fit your needs. In addition, your transfer specialist will be available to answer any questions you may have about the transfer experience.
GCU offers one-day and two-day events to give you a close-up snapshot of campus life and your program of study. During your campus visit, you will have the opportunity to explore the campus, participate in activities and meet other future transfer Lopes! In addition, you may have the opportunity to chat with other transfer students to get a firsthand story of what it’s like to attend GCU after previously attending another college.
