You’ve slaved away researching, writing your first, second, and maybe even third draft, and now you’ve got a paper you’re proud of! Follow this easy step-by-step guide to ensure your paper gets submitted to your instructor in order for them to grade it:
First, locate the assignment on your LoudCloud course homepage. Click on the link to open the assignment submission page.
Click ‘New Attempt’ and enter a title for your assignment in the pop-up box. Click ‘Save’.
Click ‘Upload Files’. *We’ll take a look at the ‘Create Document’ function in another post coming soon. Click ‘Browse’ to locate your file on your computer. Double-click your file and once it appears in the box, click ‘Save’.
If your assignment is more than 500 words, you’ll first need to submit it to Turnitin. Note that journal entries, PowerPoints, and Excel do not need to be submitted to Turnitin. Click ‘Submit’ under Turnitin Report. You’ll want to await your Turnitin report before clicking Submit Attempt. If you need to make any revisions, you’ll only be able to do so and re-submit to Turnitin before clicking Submit Attempt.
It can take up to 1 hour to receive your Turnitin report with your similarity score, so be sure to plan for enough time to submit your assignment to Turnitin, have time to make revisions, and resubmit to Turnitin before your assignment is due. Once satisfied with your Turnitin score, click ‘Submit Attempt’. If you need to make any revisions, you’ll follow steps 1 – 3 again by creating a New Attempt.
Note that if you’ve submitted to Turnitin, but not clicked Submit, your assignment has not been submitted to your instructor. Note that your instructor cannot tell that you’ve submitted anything if you’ve only submitted it to Turnitin. This means your grade could result in a zero for the assignment. Verify your assignment has been submitted by checking for the time stamp.
Your instructor will return your feedback and grade within 1 week. Be sure to regularly check your grade book and inquire promptly with your instructor if you notice any missing grades.
